Mark Fromson

Mark is an amatuer photographer based in Vancouver and Ucluelet, Canada. Inspired by his uncle, acclaimed portrait photographer Joseph Zimbrolt, Mark’s love for capturing moments began in his youth. This passion has since taken him to 57 countries across six continents, where he documents his travels with a creative eye and a spirit of adventure.

In 2017, Mark attended his first Burning Man, an experience that profoundly reshaped his artistic vision. Immersed in the festival’s unique principles, particularly the ethos of Gifting, Mark discovered his purpose: to celebrate its artistry through his lens. He gifts stunning images of the large-scale, temporary art installations to their creators and offers intimate portraits of the diverse “Burners” he meets along the way. Over time, his work has reached a global audience, capturing the essence of Burning Man and the participatory denizens who call it home.
